This has been one of the best weekends Jenny and I have had in a long time together, and it’s virtually the only vacation we’ve been on alone together. After dropping off our dog Pepper, it took about 2 hours to get into Chicago, which was frustrating. Once we got to the hotel, I truthfully was very unimpressed with what I saw. The main floor was huge, but didn’t have anything special. The rooms were also not as pleasing as I thought. I didn’t really have an issue with the room, but our view out the window was a building about 20 feet away and was an office building.
After sleeping overnight at this hotel, we decided to pack up, go to the Planetarium, get some food, and check into our new hotel. This new hotel was outstanding, and I was very impressed with everything about this hotel. The staff was very friendly, and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Chicago to stay here.

I was looking through my draft posts, and I noticed that I had forgotten to post one of the most important posts — prom with my fiancee. Well I’m glad to say that I’ve posted it below. Enjoy!
It’s been a full day since I arrived up in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to see my baby girl and celebrate prom with her. As of tonight (May 15th, 2010), I have had some of the most fun I’ve ever had with Jenny and have ever had period. Not only was I able to chill with Jenny at the hotel I’m staying at, but I got to see her all dressed up in her beautiful black and blue dress. Man, did she look unbelievably amazing, and I really was just falling more and more madly in love with her by the second.
I’m not sure what we’re going to be up to tomorrow (Sunday) or Monday, but as long as I have my baby girl right by my side, I feel like king of the world.

It’s finally Friday morning, and I’m over excited about heading to Chicago tonight! Every time I look at the pictures of the hotel we’re going to stay at, it looks more and more amazing. I plan on taking Jenny out to a fancy dinner tonight, then tomorrow we’re going to spend the day at the Planetarium.
Since we never really go on vacation, a 2 day getaway in Chicago is a nice alternative. I’ve always loved the idea of staying downtown overnight, and I think it’s a great chance to have some time to improve our relationship.

After discussing what my fiancee and I should do for Valentines day, we came up with the idea that we should skip the weekday and celebrate it by staying two nights in Chicago in a beautiful hotel. After booking it today, I’m incredibly excited to take my fiancee there, and take her to the Planetarium or the Shed Aquarium. We haven’t been downtown in a long time, and it’s going to be exciting to see what it’s like to stay overnight there!
